Olivia Newton-John, best known for her musical career and her starring role as Sandy in the musical movie Grease, has unfortunately revealed she has spinal cancer. Newton-John is no stranger to struggling with and beating cancer. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in the ’90s and dealt with cancer in her shoulder in 2013.

Newton-John announced this diagnosis in an interview with Sunday Night. She said she is treating it naturally and is doing really well so far. According to iHeartRadio, she is using cannabis oil using marijuana that she and her husband grow on their Santa Barbara ranch.

The singer and actress, who is 69 years old currently, discovered a tumor at the base of her spine sometime last year. In addition to treating her cancer with natural cannabis oils, which seems to be working well for her, she is also enduring radiation treatment.

“I believe I will win over it. That’s my goal,” Newton-John determined.

When asked why she did not reveal this diagnosis immediately to the public, Newton-John was very candid. “I thought, ‘it’s my life,’ and I just decided to keep it to myself,” she says simply.

Additionally, Newton-John endured an aggressive form of brain cancer when she was involved in a minor car accident. She originally thought her shoulder cancer was actually something to do with the car accident. “I went to see the doctor and we thought it was something to do with the accident… Time went on and it turned out to be more than that,” she recalls.

Despite being diagnosed with cancer so many times throughout her later life, Newton-John states that others have it far worse than she does.

“I’m one of millions in this fight… Fight. I shouldn’t say fight. In this journey. I see it as part of my mission, maybe,” she says, remaining positive about the experience.
