For those of us of a geeky nature, this weekend sees MCM Comiccon’s huge event taking place in Manchester!
I am a huge fan of Conventions and Comiccons. I’ve met quite a few famous people at them, (I’m genuinely not bragging that I hang around with celebs in real life – I don’t, and I did have to pay to get autographs just like every normal fan at a convention does,) but the bit I enjoy the most is the huge amount of stalls that attend conventions.
Tireless vendors who travel around the country, selling everything from replica props from films and TV, and autographed photos, to genuine collectors toys and original 80s wares. A few years ago I managed to buy a full set of original 80s A-Team collectible trading cards. 30 years after I originally started collecting, I finally managed to complete the set!
We will be there, hopefully having a quick chat to attendees along with stall holders.
Tickets are available right up until the doors open on Saturday, but if you miss the cut off for buying online you can always pay on the door and go straight in.
Doors open from 9am for Priority Ticket holders, and from 11 for everyone else.
Get in early, get around the traders and get some bargains! It is going to be huge! How huge? They wrote a song about it :
Whats that coming over the hill, MCM Comicon, MCM Comicconnnnn!
