While the actors on The Brady Bunch played siblings, that didn’t mean that they didn’t have feelings for each other in real life. Many Brady Bunch fans know that Maureen McCormick (Marcia) and Barry Williams (Greg) had a fling, you may not know which two stars first kissed each other.

Maureen revealed quite a bit in her memoir Here’s the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice. She admitted, “Susie and Mike had the first on-set romance. They snuck off into the dog house and made out. Once Eve and I threw Mike into our dressing room and locked him inside with Susie. By the time we shot the eighth episode … Susan and Mike had professed their love.”

They even pretended to get married, which Maureen officiated! She said, “I officiated at a fake marriage ceremony outside our dressing room asking if he took her as his awfully wedded wife.” How cute is that? They were both only eight years old at the time.

However, Susan said it wasn’t “making out.” She said they kissed, would say ‘I love you’ and hug. It was pretty innocent because they were so young. While their young love never amounted to anything romantic, Susan has said that she remained the closest to Mike. She even named her son after him!

Mike once said, “Susan and I were very buddy-buddy and hung out together. She has a real sick sense of humor and I thought, ‘She’s a little off’ and I thought it was my duty to keep her laughing. So we hit it off on that basis.”
