Days in quarantine can pass one after another without much differentiating them. But Wednesday saw a big day for Jessica Biel’s son Silas. He reached the big number five. According to mom’s Instagram post, they marked the occasion with food and fun. “This little man is 5 today!” wrote Biel. “We’re at home, covered in legos and birthday cake right now… but I just found this pic on my phone from last summer and it made me so happy,” she added.

Biel also shared the news that they would extend their celebration to others. In honor of Silas’ birthday, Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake announced their support for Save the Children and Feeding America. Save the Children boasts a goal to “invest in childhood – every day, in times of crisis, & for our future,” according to their Instagram page. Feeding America is a network of food banks that is “leading the fight to #EndHunger in communities nationwide,” its own Instagram writes.

Times like these offer important lessons

Both parents find it quite astounding to see their son reaching such milestones. Timberlake shared Biel’s post with the caption “Our dude is 5!!” ending with a mind blown smiley face. That little graphic captures just how shocking it is to consider how time flies. But in light of that and how crazy everything is today, Biel offered important advice. She suggested, “scroll through your old pictures today and post something that brings you a little bit of joy.”

It’s a good habit to get in. This couple may need it in the future as this probably won’t be the last time they watch a child of theirs go through big milestones. According to People, Timberlake wants to keep this going. “I want to have as many kids as we can, if I’m being honest,” he stated. Though, already they have their hands full with Silas, who he says is “already running our house.” Biel explained to Ellen DeGeneres he has quite the sense of humor and it’s only becoming more defined. “Now he is telling the joke and gets the joke,” she said when he was four. “Which is terrifying.”
