Do you remember the scene in The Sound of Music when Maria makes clothes for the Von Trapp children out of curtains? For fans of the classic musical, one of the Von Trapp kids is making face masks inspired by the film! Debbie Turner, who played Marta Von Trapp, is a designer these days.
She decided to create face masks and headbands with a fabric similar to the kind in the film. She also said that she is working on scarves and throw pillows for those who want some Sound of Music flair in their home. The fabric is green and white and looks just like it does in the film!

Many of the other Von Trapp children came together to help Debbie promote her masks. Kym Karath, who played Gretl, shared a photo of the actors wearing masks. She wrote, “Film Von Trapps wearing curtain masks. Our family wears masks, what about yours? #WearAMask #WearAMaskSaveALife #thesoundofmusic”
Can you see yourself wearing these or purchasing a pillow made with the fabric? Debbie is selling them on her website here. She also sells autographed memorabilia from the movie if that is more your thing! If you love The Sound of Music, listen to one of our favorite songs from the musical below:
