South Korean Presidential Candidate Releases Free StarCraft Maps

Here’s one of the weirder stories we’ll ever publish, courtesy of our colleagues over at Kotaku UK. It turns out that Moon Jae-in, one of the current presidential candidates in South Korea, has released a couple of free StarCraft maps to promote his campaign. They’re pretty simple, of course, but it’s a shrewd move given the popularity of Blizzard’s real-time strategy series in South Korea. If you fancy checking those out, pop on over to the candidate’s blog right here.

If you don’t already have StarCraft, now is the perfect time to get it. In anticipation of the upcoming HD remastered version of the 1998 classic, Blizzard has made the original version and its Brood War expansion available for free on PC and Mac, with absolutely no strings attached. You can pick that up over at the patch notes page for StarCraft, or just click the link here to go straight there.
